Three Days and Three Nights OR Friday to Sunday morning, which do you believe?

I believe that one of the best examples of what can happen when one DOES NOT take the whole of Scripture into account in properly gaining an undertstanding of what is being said in any given part of the text,  is uncovered in the traditional misinterpretation of the passage, Matthew 12:40,

“For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

Any doctrine which relegates the Tanakh (Old Testament) to the position of a document pertaining to “Jewish”  history, not applicable to “New Testament Christians”, or in any way inserts the blank page between Malachi and Matthew in such a way as to assert that the Renewed Covenant (New Testament) is fundamentally different from and replaces instead of fulfills  the Tankh (Old Testament)  is a snare leading to error in interpreting and in understanding the Prophetic WORD of the Eternal GOD and FATHER, HIS NAME YAHUAH.

The Books of Genesis and Leviticus are key in understanding this verse in Matthew…yes, Leviticus…imagine that.  The Renewed Covenant (New Testament) is not Greco-Roman literature written with a western mindset giving license to the reader to interpret according to one’s own culture or tradition…But rather, the “New Testament” is the “Old Testament” revealed…indeed, the Words of One Author who spoke HIS plan through those anointed to represent HIM in the Earth…and as such, they spoke as foreigners, sojourners who reckoned themselves as   “one who crosses over” or “ones from the other side”–which is, as a matter of fact, the literal definition of the word, “Hebrew”…and so,  we see this truth further illustrated in the Book by that very name, Hebrews 11:13-16, which reads, “All these died in faith, not having received the promises but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the Earth.  For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.  And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return.  But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.  Therefore, ELOHIM is not ashamed to be called their ELOHIM; for HE has prepared a city for them.”  Brethren, we must ask ourselves, do we truly have that perspective…do we so align ourselves with our soon coming KING and HIS KINGDOM that our perspective of Scripture has changed our perspective of ourselves…Do we truly seek to see the truth of HIS WORD through the eyes of the SOVEREIGN Authorship and Authority of the AUTHOR, or do we assume the religious attitude toward Scripture which allows one to take liberty with Scripture for the sake of man-centered tradition…

It’s no wonder why  “Good Friday” is celebrated as the day He was crucified… and why we would believe for so many years  that He rose according to Scripture on the third day–Sunday …when, try as we may, it’s simply not possible to count “three days and three nights” between Friday and Sunday…I’ve tried…smile…So, we must decide, do we believe Scripture or the religious traditions of man.

The link below is for those of us, who even when we did not understand, chose to believe; and after listening to the teaching below will believe and understand!!!
